Welcome aboard the DEEP BLUE! This awesome 2026 Duckworth 34 Atlas is a full walk-around Pilot House, and is equpped with many of the latest and greatest electronics! It offers an exceptional ride with the installed SeaKeeper Gyro system to hold the boat much more steady on our ocean. Sporting an overall length of 37' and a width of 11'. You'll appreciate its superior handling in both calm waters and more challenging conditions. This boat is new this year, so a lot of the pics you see in this website have pics of my previous 2018 Edge Marine 26 Sport OS, I'll update and soon as I get more "on the water" pics in the new 34 Atlas! Boat Features
This 2026 Duckworth 34 Atlas is a full walk-around Pilot House, which means you can freely move about the whole boat, bow to stern, and just not restricted to the rear deck. It measures out at an overall length of 37 ft long and sports an 11' wide beam which gives great stability on the water. There are so many features on this boat, well, just too many to list! You'll have to experience it for yourself!!
● Twin Yamaha XTO 450hp Outboards: The DEEP BLUE is equipped with twin Yamaha 450hp outboard engines, with Garmin Auto Pilot providing reliable power and agility for an exhilarating offshore fishing experience.
- Yamaha 25hp kicker outboard with Autopilot
- Garmin Kraken bow mounted trolling motor (great for holding position on fish!)
● SeaKeeper Gyro Stabilizer (Seakeeper gyros are marine stabilization systems that use a high-speed, vacuum-sealed flywheel to reduce up to 95% of boat roll, and can be a real tool in discouraging seasickness and enhancing comfort) So if you have been reluctant to try offshore fishing with fear of getting seasick, than this may be the trip for you! Although it doesn't guarantee you won't, it sure offers a Great option to most boats!
● 300 Gallon Fuel Tank: With a generous 300-gallon fuel tank capacity, the DEEP BLUE is capable of extended fishing trips, ensuring you have ample fuel for your adventure.
● Self-Bailing Deck: The self-bailing deck design of the DEEP BLUE allows water to run out and not collect on the deck.
● Aqua Traction decking: This awesome flooring was laser measured to fit and installed by the pros at AquaTraction. The exterior deck and pilot house floor provides you to be more sure footed, enhancing safety and stability, particularly when the deck is wet or moving.
● Suspension Seats and fixed Bench Seats: Enjoy comfort during your journey with suspension seats located up front, along with two bench seats amidship, providing ample seating for all passengers.
● Daiwa Electric Reels: Equipped with 6 Daiwa Electric Reels and 6 Scotty plug locations, the DEEP BLUE offers efficient and effective deep-sea fishing capabilities.
● Insulated Fish Boxes: The spacious deck of the DEEP BLUE includes 2 large insulated fish box in the deck floor, perfect for storing your catch. The fish boxes can be flooded for halibut fishing or plugged for tuna trips, providing versatility for your fishing needs.
● Interior Diesel Heater in the Pilot House: Designed to keep us warm on those cold morning and days!
Equipment
DEEP BLUE is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and fish-finding technology, including:
● 2-Garmin 8616xsv Chartplotter inside on the main helm, and a Garmin 8612xsv on the rear helm
● Garmin Autopilot on the mains and the kicker and a Garmin Kraken trolling motor on the bow.
● Garmin Fantom Array radar
● 2-Garmin Panoptix Transducers: (PS30 and PS70)The advanced Panoptix transducers allows one to see moving fish in real-time, providing the number of fish and depth while trolling or drifting. This technology is incredibly effective in targeting the right depth for a successful fishing experience. (The PS30 will see down up to 300', while PS70 can see down to a 1000'!)
● 2 Dash Mounted Garmin Radios and a mic at the rear helm
● Handheld Radio
Although DEEP BLUE can accommodate up to 6 clients, we can tailor any amount up to 6 if you want a private charter for your group. However, ocean conditions will ultimately dictate how many rods we can fish at a time. Tangles are no fun!

My name is Dan Lassen, I’ll be your captain aboard Deep Blue.
I am a certified Captain with the USCG, as well as a licensed Oregon fishing guide. Red Cross certified in First Aid/Adult CPR
SAFETY while on the boat is my number one priority.
The second is that everyone has fun and catches fish!

Dan's Passion for the Ocean
I have had several years on the ocean starting when my dad took me salmon fishing out of Depoe Bay when I was just 9 years old, and after that I was hooked!
I commercial fished for salmon while still in high school with a good friend, in fact, I was running the boat before I had my drivers license.
Having fished for nearly every species of fish our state of Oregon has to offer, both fresh and salt water, though fishing offshore is my passion. I LOVE THE OCEAN!
Experience and Dedication
From 2010 to the present, I have been solely a saltwater fisherman, fishing every season for various species, and have thousands of hours of experience on the ocean, and with the help and tips from good friends, I have tried and proven techniques that target each species ensuring your experience is truly remarkable.
More times than not, bringing back a really good grade of fish, in both size and quantity. Although I will go for any species, my specialties are halibut and tuna, which in my opinion are the premier fish our ocean has to offer in both fight and taste.
